Please note the Broxbourne Swimming Club’s Annual General Meeting will now be held on Monday 17th November 2014 in The Parish Centre, Broxbourne Church at 8.00p.m.
Please come along and support the club and of course it is a chance to have your say. Just by turning up you are helping the club as we do need a quorum on the night for the AGM to take place, so perhaps you would be kind enough to confirm your presence or otherwise.
Hailebury Pool Closure – Monday 20th October to Sunday 23rd November.
Hailebury swimming pool will be closed for approximately 5 weeks, commencing Monday 20th October. This is to allow for refurbishment to the pool side and wet-side changing room areas. During this period there will be no Wednesday night swimming.
We will communicate to all Wednesday night swimmers if any of these details should change.
The new look Broxbourne Swimming Club website is now live. This will be the home of all club news and information.
Head over to www.broxbournesc.co.uk to check it out.
Thank you once again for all of your entries into this years club championships, as I have said it is the best entry in numbers that we have had for a very long time, please follow through with your entry and make sure you come along on both days that you have entered.
The Annual Club Championships will be taking place at Haileybury Swimming Pool, Hoddesdon, over two Saturday Sessions on 20th & 27th September. The start of each session will be 7.00pm, with the doors opening at 6.30pm. All swimmers must be booked in by 6.45pm without fail, as failure to do so will result in not being allowed to swim.
Events will be on a “heat declared winner” basis, except for years 2004 & 2005 when a separate final will be held. If more than 1 heat is required for the other years then the winners will be the six fastest times overall. Cups/Trophies are presented to the winners of each event and a medal will be awarded for the first three positions with a certificate for 4th, 5th & 6th positions, at the Presentation Evening Disco on 11th October.
Failure to turn up does not help the Club Coach/Teachers in assessing your ability.
It is not necessary to win to be assessed for inclusion into the club gala squad.
Your future potential is important to the Club, and gives the Coaches/Teachers something to work with.
Thank you again.
